Senior Values Clarification Facilitator & Content Lead

Compass Values Ltd

Aoife Brennan, Senior Values Clarification Facilitator with 14 years of experience in personal identity exploration workshops across Ireland
Who She Is

Values Clarification Specialist

Aoife discovered her passion for values work after completing her counselling degree at University College Cork in 2010. She spent her first five years as a therapist in Cork, noticing something powerful: people experienced real breakthroughs when they could finally articulate their core values and understand how these shape their decision-making patterns. That observation became the foundation for her signature framework for values identification and conflict resolution.

Over the past 14 years, she’s guided over 3,200 individuals through systematic reflection exercises to identify competing values, resolve internal conflicts, and build sustainable alignment between their actions and deeply held principles. Her work spans corporate teams, community groups, and individuals across Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Limerick. What drives her is witnessing that tangible shift—watching someone leave an unfulfilling career, repair fractured relationships, or make braver decisions because they’ve finally named what truly matters.

Her approach combines somatic awareness exercises, structured reflection prompts, and practical decision-making tools, drawing on contemporary positive psychology research whilst honouring the Irish cultural emphasis on community, storytelling, and authentic connection. At Compass Values Ltd, she leads the development of guided reflection content and facilitates small group workshops. For Aoife, values clarification isn’t self-indulgent introspection—it’s essential groundwork for living with integrity and purpose.

Specialization

What Aoife Focuses On

Four core areas of values clarification work

01

Identifying Core Values Through Reflection

Guided reflection exercises designed to surface the values that truly matter to you—not the ones you think you should value. Using structured prompts, somatic awareness, and storytelling techniques, participants move from vague aspirations to crystallized, lived values.

02

Understanding How Values Shape Daily Decisions

Values don’t live in isolation—they’re the invisible architecture of every choice you make. Aoife helps you map the connections between your core principles and the everyday decisions that shape your direction: career moves, relationship boundaries, time allocation, and life direction.

03

Resolving Conflicts Between Competing Values

Most people don’t struggle with one value—they struggle when values collide. Family versus ambition. Security versus authenticity. Freedom versus responsibility. Aoife’s framework helps you navigate these real conflicts with practical tools and clarity, not platitudes.

04

Aligning Actions With Principles for Inner Coherence

The final piece: bridging the gap between what you value and how you actually live. This is where real transformation happens. Through accountability structures, decision-making frameworks, and ongoing reflection, you build the coherence between your stated values and your daily actions.

Approach

How Aoife Works

Evidence-Based & Practical

Aoife’s work draws on contemporary positive psychology, existential therapy, and values-based decision-making research. But she doesn’t hide behind theory. Everything’s grounded in real Irish contexts and practical, everyday situations. You won’t hear corporate jargon or abstract frameworks that don’t apply to your life.

Her guided reflection exercises combine somatic awareness (what your body knows), structured prompts (clarity through questions), and storytelling (how values actually show up in your choices). It’s designed to work whether you’re in a one-on-one session or a workshop with thirty people.

Culturally Rooted, Deeply Personal

She honours the Irish cultural emphasis on community, connection, and authentic storytelling. This isn’t about becoming someone else—it’s about understanding who you actually are and what you genuinely care about. That clarity creates the foundation for real change, not performative self-improvement.

Whether you’re navigating career decisions, relationship conflicts, or just feeling stuck and misaligned, her work helps you move from confusion to coherence. From knowing your values intellectually to living them with integrity. That’s where the real work begins.
